Central Vietnam is a land of contrasts — ancient towns and lively coastal cities, forested mountains and tropical islands, centuries-old temples and quiet villages where traditions remain part of everyday life.
For us at FAIVO, these are more than destinations on a map. This is home.
We know the early-morning markets before the streets get busy, the family-run places locals return to, the quiet roads beyond the tourist trails, and the stories behind places that are easy to pass without truly seeing.
From the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An and the coastline of Da Nang to the clear waters of the Cham Islands, the ancient temples of My Son and the imperial heritage of Hue, every destination reveals a different side of Central Vietnam.
Come discover it with the people who know it best.
Some travellers come to Central Vietnam for its UNESCO World Heritage sites. Others come for beautiful beaches, local food, island escapes or the peaceful countryside.
Most discover that the real magic lies somewhere in between.
Here are the destinations we know, love and are proud to share with you.

Hoi An may be known around the world for its lanterns, yellow-walled houses and historic streets, but there is much more to discover beyond the postcard views.
Wake early and you’ll find the local markets coming to life. Cycle a little beyond the Ancient Town and the streets give way to rice fields, vegetable gardens and peaceful villages. Along the Thu Bon River, fishing, farming and traditional crafts remain part of everyday life.
Explore the UNESCO-listed Ancient Town, visit Tra Que Vegetable Village, experience the waterways around Cam Thanh, taste dishes that have been part of local kitchens for generations, or simply wander beside the river as the lanterns begin to glow.
Hoi An is not simply a place to see. It is a place to slow down, connect and experience.

Just off the coast of Hoi An, the Cham Islands offer a completely different rhythm of life.
Part of the Cu Lao Cham–Hoi An World Biosphere Reserve, the islands are surrounded by clear blue waters and home to coral reefs, beaches, fishing villages and a rich marine environment.
Snorkel beneath the surface, wander through a local village, visit Hai Tang Pagoda, explore Tan Hiep Market or enjoy freshly prepared seafood by the beach.
But don’t rush.
Sometimes the best part of visiting the Cham Islands is simply finding a quiet place, looking out to sea and enjoying the slower pace of island life.
Visiting from Hoi An? Our Cham Island tour from Hoi An brings together the speedboat crossing, island life, snorkeling, beach time and a local lunch in one easy day.

Da Nang brings together the best of city life and nature.
Start the morning beside the sea, explore the caves and pagodas of the Marble Mountains, discover local neighbourhoods and food, then watch the coastline stretch into the distance from the Son Tra Peninsula.
Modern and energetic yet surrounded by nature, Da Nang makes an ideal base for discovering Central Vietnam.
For many travellers, it is where the journey begins. Stay a little longer, though, and you’ll discover that Da Nang is much more than a gateway.

Hidden in a green valley surrounded by mountains, My Son Sanctuary preserves one of the most fascinating chapters in Central Vietnam’s history.
For centuries, this sacred site was an important religious and cultural centre of the Champa Kingdom. Today, its ancient brick towers offer a remarkable glimpse into Cham architecture, spirituality and craftsmanship.
Walking through My Son is impressive. Understanding the stories behind its temples makes the experience something else entirely.
It is one of those places where local knowledge can change the way you see what stands before you.

Hue moves at its own pace.
Once the imperial capital of Vietnam, the city carries its history through the walls of the Imperial City, royal tombs, old pagodas, garden houses and the gentle flow of the Perfume River.
Yet Hue is not a city frozen in the past.
Its heritage continues through everyday life — in family traditions, neighbourhood markets, local cuisine and recipes influenced by centuries of royal and popular culture.
Take your time here.
Hue rewards travellers who do.
The places we remember most are rarely just the places we photographed.
They are the morning coffee shared with someone we had only just met. The meal whose name we couldn’t pronounce. The story told beneath an ancient temple. The small road we would never have found on our own.
These are the moments that turn a trip into a memory.
At FAIVO, we believe travel should bring you closer to the people, culture, heritage and everyday life of the places you visit.
That’s the Central Vietnam we want to share with you.
Whether you have one day in Hoi An, a weekend between Da Nang and the Cham Islands, or enough time to journey through My Son and Hue, we’ll help you experience Central Vietnam at a pace that feels right for you.
